Finally.

FINALLY!

I've been working...nay, laboring on this picture for the past I-have-no-idea-how-long. I'm fairly sure I've been at it since about Mother's Day, but well, life has a tendency of slapping you in the face and saying 'Uh, no, I don't think so' and sending you crying to your mother's house for the weekend before you come crawling back because well, you're just that pathetic.

...love is painful. >>

Anyway, this is Knuckles' mommy. :3 Lara-Le. Or my version of her. My extremely convulted, complex, twisted all-together-weird version of her. I may even changed her name, but I like calling her Lara too much. It'd probably become Laralæ at the most. But yes, preggered Lara-Le, with pretty decorations and such. Because she ties in to this...big weird history thing I've got going not only for the entire Echidnean race (yes, I call them that) but Sonic's entire world. It's....involved. It even goes so far as to explain the existence of the rings which appear in the games. And the varying number of Chaos Emeralds. And the Super Emeralds.

And I'm totally digging myself a hole.
So I should probably stop now.

Suffice it to say that the Echidnas were pretty much the second Atlantis of the world. And that landmass they call the Floating Island is a chunk of Australia. Or what once was Australia. And they're all.....crazy blendings of lots and lots of different cultures. Oh, and Knuckles has a sister.

....yeah, that last part was just to throw you. He would have had a sister, since Lara-Le... -point- ...is carrying twins. I'll leave it to you to guess what happened. But this is before that, when Lara-Le can't help but look down at her tummy and smile, while fingering the lovely little ταραχή gem he gave her when they were 'married' as is custom, and dream of the family she hopes to gain, but will never get.
